Dear Sir / Madam,
I would like to draw your kind attention about an
unrevealed wonder of the world. Yes, that’s Shri Karni Mata (Mother) Temple
since more than 600 years. The attractive features of the temple are: -
1.
The temple is full of rats (kabas as they are called). They are more than
200,000 (two hundred thousand) in numbers and move freely in over 3,000 (four
thousand) Sq. mtrs. area approximately. The King of Bikaner magnificently built
the temple in a marvelous fort almost centuries ago.
2.
A normal human being will be absolutely scared over the thought of the
number of the rats (They are looking like a rat, but actually they are not rat)
that exist but the outstanding fact is that the rats are harmless and play
around in the Temple without disturbing the devotees, further sitting on their
laps, shoulders, head, hands which the devotees think to be the divine spirit
and blessings of the goddess. People are not infected by these rats
3.
The devotees offer milk, oats, wheat, sweets, wine, bajra (Porridge) etc.
to the goddess to show their respect to the supernatural. All these things are
eaten by the rats (Kaba).
4.
At the time when killer disease plague spread out in Surat in Gujarat in
mid 90`s, people from Surat and other affected areas went to the temple to take
the milk and water drunk by these rats as medicines to get themselves cured.
5.
In 15th century Shri Karni Mata was the one who forced the Central King
Authorities to stop the ongoing Navroja. (The exploitation of woman by The Mugal
Emperors’ Mens).
The devotees have no bar for sex, tribe, religion, caste and anybody who
visits the temple is privileged to worship her. Call her anytime from the core
of your heart and you will find her standing by your side.
